Come to the Santa Rosa EA Holiday Celebration!
On Thursday, December 1st from 3:30 to 5:30 pm and ALL teachers and education staff professionals are invited  to our Holiday Celebration. Let’s celebrate the completion of the first half of the school year and the holiday season!  The celebration will take place at Ye Olde Brothers Brewery (4458 FL-87, Navarre). Please make plans to enjoy free appetizers and non-alcoholic drinks while having a chance to win great door prizes and enjoy the company of your colleagues from around the District! Santa Rosa EA General Membership, January 24th
Santa Rosa EA will be hosting a General Membership meeting on Tuesday, January 24, 2017 at Henderson Hall, located at 7810 Navarre Parkway in Navarre. All members are invited, as we will be discussing the campaign to obtain employee bargaining rights, participating in a question-and-answer session, and hearing from member benefits representatives. There will refreshments on hand and attendees will be eligible to win some great door prizes. Please plan to attend, as Santa Rosa EA wants to hear from YOU!

EEOC looking into Florida teacher bonus program

A federal agency that investigates workplace discrimination claims has decided to continue its probe into Florida’s controversial teacher salary bonus program, and a state administrative judge ruled earlier this month that a Sarasota County school pathologist should receive money from the program. The developments could be two blows to the Florida Department of Education Best and Brightest Scholarship program, which was created by one Miami lawmaker in 2015. Click here for the full story
